Jason Kelce is going to be hearing about this one for a while.
The former NFL star and several members of his family attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show in Miami, Fla., on Friday, Oct. 18. While Jason and his wife, Kylie Kelce, made their Eras Tour debut over the summer to support Swift, who is dating Jason’s younger brother, Travis, Friday’s show was the first that Jason and Travis’ mother, Donna Kelce, attended in person. It was also the first of Swift’s shows that Jason and Kylie brought two of their young daughters, Wyatt and Elliotte, to see.
As people began arriving for the show at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, Swifties excitedly shared photos and videos on social media showing Jason, Kylie and their daughters making their way into the venue. Images later emerged of the family gathered together in their seats as they prepared for the pop superstar to take the stage.
But once Swift’s performance kicked off, fans couldn’t help but notice that some of the photos of Jason appeared to show him taking a nap, a move that struck many as odd given the excitement surrounding him.
“That’s the most dad thing I have ever seen a dad do ,” one fan wrote in response to a photo of Jason sitting in the stadium with his eyes closed that one concertgoer shared on TikTok.
The image was “Proof that dads can literally sleep anywhere,” one person joked as another described the move as “Just a dad doing dad things .”
“Like every dad says, he’s just resting his eyes,” another person commented.
“We gotta talk about it Jason,” one Swiftie wrote.
Several people tagged New Heights, the podcast Jason co-hosts with Travis, in posts about his apparent “Power Nap” on social media. Many insisted that the brothers need to chat about the moment during the next episode of their show.
Others pointed out that Jason did get in on the fun later during the concert. As one video demonstrated, he enthusiastically danced along as Swift performed “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” one of the songs from her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department.
“Jason’s fav song I’m WHEEZING,” one fan wrote when they shared a clip of his dance moves on X, formerly Twitter.
“I absolutely love seeing him just loose it when this song comes on,” another fan laughed in response to the video.
