Patrick Mahomes has won enough in Stephen A. Smith’s book to be given the biggest honor among active players.
Patrick Mahomes is undefeated in the NFL this season, but it all hasn’t gone according to plan. The Chiefs have found ways to win games, but have failed to look pretty doing it. That said, at least one NFL analyst doesn’t care what the statistics say.
According to Stephen A. Smith, if any quarterback loses to Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, they shouldn’t be held accountable. Here’s how Smith put it on an October 17 clip of “First Take” on Twitter/X.
“Anybody who runs into, and ultimately loses to Patrick Mahomes, has a pass.”
He went on to name two other quarterbacks that fall into the same category as well. Namely, Patrick Mahomes’ biggest AFC rival since the start of 2023 in Lamar Jackson. He also named Aaron Rodgers, although seemed at least somewhat hesitant on the former Green Bay Packers quarterback.
