Travis Kelce couldn’t attend Taylor Swift’s Miami Eras Tour shows this past weekend, as he had an away game on Sunday.
However, his family went to her October 18 show, and fans noticed that Swift snuck in multiple tributes to Kelce throughout the weekend as she commenced the final leg of her tour.
Swift made her “karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me” lyric tweak during her October 20 concert. Earlier that day, Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers. They have not lost one game this season.
Fans also noticed that Swift wore “T” initial earrings during her October 18 performance. And though both Swift and Kelce’s first names start with the same letter, some believed it was a subtle tribute to the singer’s partner of over a year.
Kelce’s next game is on Sunday, October 27 in Las Vegas. The Chiefs are playing the Raiders.
Swift will be doing three shows in New Orleans starting on Friday, October 25 through Sunday, October 27. Their work schedules mean that at the very least, Swift cannot attend Kelce’s game. It’s unclear whether Kelce will be able to sneak in a Friday concert, but given the Chiefs’ training schedule, it is not all that likely.
The last leg of Swift’s Eras Tour will continue through December 8. From there, Swift has not shared her future plans. A source told Us Weekly on October 1 that the star is looking forward to relaxing the rest of the year and figuring out her future after.
She and Kelce are “looking forward to spending the holidays together,” the insider said. “Taylor is still super busy, but trying to manage her schedule to allow for a better work-life balance.”
Generally, Swift and Kelce “are both focused on their work now and just want to get through the holidays and the tour and will be figuring out their next moves after the new year,” the source noted.
