Jason Kelce might play second fiddle to brother Travis in terms of fame, but it’s Jason’s own No. 2 that has people talking.
The former center for the Philadelphia Eagles revealed in the Wednesday, November 13, episode of the “New Heights” podcast, which he cohosts with Travis, that he once pooped himself before an NFL game.
Jason, 37, didn’t just reveal this TMI tidbit out of the blue. The pair were discussing an unfortunate moment during last weekend’s slate of NFL games when cameras appeared to catch the Detroit Lions’ James Houston IV with a dark stain on the seat of his pants.
Houston, 25, maintains his innocence. He posted via X after the game, “Ay yall I had sat on some Gatorade just chill 😹💩.”
Needless to say, fans were not convinced — and neither were the Kelces.
“This is why I hate white pants. This is not the first time this has happened. I know many players this has happened to,” Jason said, adding, “Sometimes you’re exerting a lot of effort on the field and if you get caught in the wrong type of gut situation.”
“Travis, you and I both know he didn’t sit on no Gatorade,” he continued. “Not in that exact specific spot. We all know what that is. And he has nothing to be ashamed of. I am here to have your back, James.”
Jason added that he’s never had the same fecal fiasco on national TV, but it did happen to him before a game.
“I did this before a game once,” he shared. “You know when you shart and you know that there’s a possibility something came out but you’re not certain?”
The elder Kelce added that he asked one of his fellow offensive linemen to give his pants a look, only to be told that he was in the clear. Jason then went out for warmups, went through his whole pregame routine, and that’s when teammate Lane Johnson stepped in to let him know that, in fact, he had “s— all up and down your pants right now.”
Thankfully, Jason had enough time to run to the locker room and shower (with his pads still on) before the game started.
Travis, 35, opted not to share whether he could relate, letting Jason tell his story without much interruption. Afterward, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end did offer some advice to other NFL players.
“You gotta eat right, take your vitamins, make sure that gut health is right,” he said. “OK, I’m done talking about s—ing yourself.”
